Meet West Deptford School Board Candidates Wednesday

Four candidates are running for three open seats in next Tuesday's elections.

West Deptford residents looking to get caught up with this year’s Board of Education elections will have their opportunity Wednesday night.

The school district will host a “Meet the Candidates” night at West Deptford High School on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

Superintendent Kevin Kitchenman said biographies for all candidates will be available in the school district’s newsletter later this week.

Four candidates are running for three seats, including incumbents Lisa Eckley and Amy DeGirolamo and challengers Cheryl Carroll and Steven Catando.

Board President Christopher Strano chose not to run for reelection.

The event comes about 24 hours after West Deptford Patch Local Editor Matt Skoufalos and South Jersey Times Reporter Jason Laday co-moderate a debate involving candidates for West Deptford committee. 

That event begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at RiverWinds.

Election Day is next Tuesday. For the second consecutive year in West Deptford, the school board elections will be held in November.
