WDFPL's 2 Part History Lecture Series, The Battle of Red Bank: How NJ Changed the Course of the Revolution* with Dr. Jennifer Janofsky, Ph.D, Curator, Whitall House and Red Bank Battlefield
History enthusiasts are welcome to come to the West
Deptford Free Public Library, 420 Crown Point Road, West Deptford, NJ for a
two-part public history lecture series on Thursdays, 7:00 p.m., October 10 and
October 17, 2013. The program is entitled, “The Battle of Red Bank: How New
Jersey Changed the Course of the Revolution.”* Dr. Jennifer Janofsky, Ph.D. Curator, Whitall House, www.whitall.org and Red Bank Battlefield, Megan Giordano
Fellow in Public History, Rowan University, will highlight the significance of
the 1777 Battle of Red Bank, how it influenced the course of the Revolution, and
the role that African-American soldiers played at Fort Mercer. Refreshments
