What was the history of The Battle of Red Bank at Fort Mercer? Who were

one hour battle? What was the significance of the arrival of Lord Cornwallis in
November 1777?
On Thursday, September
26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., The West Deptford Free
Public Library, 420 Crown
Point Road, West Deptford, will present “Gloucester County in the Revolutionary War — October
& November 1777”* with Eileen Shanahan and Pat Hensinger from
the Gloucester County Historical
Society. This public history program is in conjunction with The Gloucester
County Cultural and Heritage Commission’s “A New Jersey Perpective on the
American Revolutionary War History Project 2013 grant”. Recent archaeological finds now housed in The Gloucester County
Historical Society will be shown as part of the power point presentation. Refreshments served. To
