Traditional Irish Music Concert

"The Irish Session" will perform a concert of Traditional Irish Music on Sunday, Feb 26th at 3 pm at St. Matthew’s School Hall, 1210 Hessian Ave, West Deptford, NJ. The Irish Session is comprised of Bob Michel, Rich Dodson, Laura Murphy and Mike Plunkett.

They perform traditional songs and jigs, reels, hornpipes and other tunes on wooden flute, tin whistles, concertina, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar. Experience the feel of a real pub session. Special guests, Corey Purcell and Erin Green, Champion Irish step-dancers. (Both Corey and Erin qualified for the International Step-Dancing Championships in Belfast this year!)

The concert will end with all musicians in the audience invited onstage to join in a set of jigs and a set of reels. The concert benefits Holy Angels Parish. Tickets are $10 each or $25 for a family. At the concert there will be a raffle for an heirloom quality quilt, created by local artisan Kathy Reiger.
