West Deptford U-14 Boys Take Tournament Championship
The Wizards dispatched their rivals from Washington Township last weekend.
After beating Washington Township Saturday night in a close game (2-0), the West Deptford U-14 boys soccer team continued on to close out the West Deptford soccer tournament with an undefeated tournament record and a championship title.
The boys from West Deptford would face Washington Township again in the finals, and the outcome was the same a second time, as the Wizards doubled up their rivals, 4-0.
Team manager Beth Tachdjian credited the help from coaches Brian Smith, Tom Cirone, and John DiCarlo, with the Wizards' solid finish.
"We had a slow start to our season but finished very strong," she said.
The soccer league is fielding spring teams, and players who are interested in participating can visit the team website for tryout information.
