Comcast Cares Day Volunteers to Work on 50 Sites in Region on Saturday

April 26 will mark the 13th annual Comcast Cares Day, the largest single-day corporate volunteer effort in the country. More than 80,000 volunteers will work on 700 projects this year, more than 50 in Greater Philadelphia region, plus dozens of blood drives.

Since the inception of Comcast Cares Day, the company has organized hundreds of projects in New Jersey for organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, ARC, American Red Cross, Clean Ocean Action, the Latin American Economic Development Association, and more donating several hundreds of thousands of dollars in materials, grants and man-hours.

Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast and NBCUniversal’s signature day of service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort.
