Walk-a-Thon Thank You: Kids Helping Kids Walk for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation

On Saturday, May 31st, friends gathered in Veteran’s Memorial Park for our 7th Annual McAllister Walk renamed Kids Helping Kids Walk.

It was a great morning – perfect for a stroll around the park. After a rousing send off from Southern Regional Director Zipporah Browne and radio personality Heather DeLuca from SoJO 104.9, walkers grabbed some water and granola bars and headed off for a leisurely 5K walk around the Veteran’s Park Loop.

We are pleased that we’ve engaged over thirty new supporters during this event.  Fundraising is essential to ECF so that we can sustain the quality services our children and their families need. We rely on the generosity of our donors to help make this happen.

We appreciate and thank all the volunteers who worked so hard to help make the Kids Helping Kids Walk a success. Whether it was passing out water, sitting at a checkpoint or cleaning up after the event, every little bit helps and the walk would not have been possible without the team effort. But, above all, our volunteers do it with a big smile and with a big heart!

Thanks so much to everyone who walked – and to everyone who sponsored the event, for your dedication to ECF’s kids with cancer and their families.
