Alleged Marlton Fugitive, Accused Robber, Caught Tuesday

Gloucester County officers found Markis Harrison at a home on Locust Avenue.

A Marlton man who's a suspect in a Mount Laurel armed robbery was arrested Tuesday by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office (GCPO) fugitive unit, after he failed to appear to face another armed robbery charge, authorities said.

GCPO officers, assisted by the FBI's Violent Offender Task Force, caught Markis T. Harrison, 22, at a home on Locust Avenue, two weeks after he failed to show in court regarding a 2012 knifepoint robbery in National Park, authorities said, where he's been charged with armed robbery, theft, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.

Harrison is also considered a suspect and has been charged in a July 27 armed robbery in Mount Laurel, two days before he was scheduled to make his court appearance, authorities said.
