Alleged ShopRite Shoplifters Indicted on Multiple Counts

All three face charges of shoplifting and receiving stolen property for the June 5 incident.

Two men and a woman who were indicted last week on multiple charges related to the incident.

James Corbin, 46, of Swedesboro, Andrew Salvadore, 20, of Philadelphia, and Sherry Young, 32, of Philadelphia, were each indicted on charges of third-degree receiving stolen property and third-degree shoplifting in the incident.

The trio of alleged shoplifters took off with carts laden with goods on June 5, West Deptford police said, and tried to escape in a Pennsylvania-registered Jeep that had been reported stolen out of Philadelphia.

Corbin was caught before he could get in the Jeep, while Salvadore was blocked in by West Deptford officers and arrested at the wheel of the truck. Young had taken off through the parking lot, police said, but was caught a few minutes after the men were arrested.

Young put up a fight when she was caught by West Deptford K-9 Officer Michael Franks, though, and was indicted separately on a charge of third-degree resisting arrest.
