Vandals Cut Truck Brake Lines, Steal ATV

West Deptford Police Department also report a tire slashing and stolen GPS gear in the weekly crimelog.

  • A 1998 four-wheel Yamaha was stolen from the business Furmanite on Jan. 22. Located on Forest Parkway, the vehicle had been left in the warehouse parking lot and chained to piece of heavy machinery at the time of the theft.
  • Several items were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the bulldog parking lot at the West Deptford High School on Jan. 25. Items stolen included a portable GPS unit, a power cord and a window mounting bracket.
  • The front and rear passenger tires of a vehicle were punctured by a sharp object while it was parked on Frederic Court on Feb. 5.
  • Stored in a nail gun case, a Passload 16 Gauge Angle Finish Nailer was stolen from a Maple Street garage on Feb. 6. The nail gun case was left behind.
  • An unlocked ATV was stolen on Feb. 6 from a residence on Red Bank Avenue. The ATV was kept under a black tarp at the time.
  • A GPS and a spool of ground copper wire were stolen from a work van on Feb. 6 on New Jersey Avenue. In addition, another vehicle was also entered on New Jersey Avenue, as well. Unlocked at the time, vandals ransacked the glove box and stole a Magellan GPS.
  • Air lines for the brakes of eleven trailers were severed by vandals on Feb. 7. The trailers all belonged to Hassel Transport on Crown Point Road.
