Paulsboro Man Denied Bail Adjustment in Strong-Arm Robbery Case
Jason R. Holland, who was charged with a second-degree offense, was arrested in a fugitive sweep on March 14.
Jason R. Holland of Paulsboro, who was captured in a fugitive sweep March 14, was denied an adjustment of his bail in Superior Court.
Holland is charged in a strong-arm robbery in Glassboro, in which "he punch[ed] a man repeatedly in the face to 'forcibly take money' from the victim," according to a statement from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

That statement also notes that Holland's lawyer said he has "no other violent crime record and only one other felony conviction, for cocaine possession, in 2011."
Holland was apparently unaware that there was a warrant for his arrest when he was taken into custody, and that he was "fully cooperative" with authorities, his attorney said.

But in a second-degree offense, Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Laurie Cimino said, “I don’t believe 10 percent is available,” and Judge Allen-Jackson agreed.
Unable to meet the $25,000, full-cash bail amount, Holland was remanded to the Gloucester County Correctional Facility.
