Coast Guard, Police Search for Person in Delaware River off Paulsboro

Paulsboro police, firefighters and the Coast Guard spent hours Monday afternoon searching for a possible boater in the Delaware River, after a boat reportedly capsized off Paulsboro, NBC Philadelphia reported.

A chopper hung over the river in the late-day haze as the afternoon wore on, and police and firefighters searched the river in boats.

A caller initially told police the boat flipped somewhere off Riverview Avenue, but Paulsboro and New Jersey state police said no one has been reported missing.

The search was called off as darkness fell, and NBC Philadelphia reported it was unclear if the search would resume in the morning.
