Drug Possession, Theft Top Gloucester County Indictments

The following information was provided by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following individuals were indicted last week by a Gloucester County grand jury on the indicated charges:

  • Richard B. Buckingham, 33, of Pennsville, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance on July 5 in West Deptford.
  • Joseph Palese, 69, of Thorofare, for theft by illegal retention on June 20, 2009, in Paulsboro.
  • Jesse J. Smierciak, 23, of Mullica Hill, for endangering the welfare of a child on May 16 in Harrison Township.
  • Kenneth R. Forsman, 55, of Mullica Hill, for aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and resisting arrest on June 30 in South Harrison Township.
  • Michael Winther, 42, of New Brunswick, NJ, for contempt of court on June 20 in Washington Township.
  • Gene R. Foulke, 52, of Pitman, for three counts of child abuse by cruelty or neglect on May 6 in Pitman.
  • Douglas M. Scheuerer, 45, of Sewell, for failure to display a contractor’s registration number on Aug. 23, 2010, in Washington Township.
  • William Hoyer, 38, of Sewell, for theft by illegal retention on Feb. 1 in Monroe Township.
  • Paul Taglienti, 25, of Mt. Laurel, for theft by illegal retention on May 31 in Washington Township.
  • Tracy Kellam, 44, of Sicklerville, for theft by illegal retention on Aug. 18 in Deptford.
  • Edward G. Scherfel, 44, of Mantua, for criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child on dates between April 1 and May 1 in Mantua.
  • Chelsea S. Milsted, 19, of Westville, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance on May 1 in Paulsboro.
  • Arrasheed E. Bey, 68, of Camden, for criminal attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud on May 24 in Deptford.
  • Joseph A. Samuel, 19, of Paulsboro, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of possession of less than half an ounce of heroin or cocaine with the intent to distribute on May 18 in Paulsboro.
  • Robert A. Thornton, 27, of Paulsboro, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of possession of less than half an ounce of heroin or cocaine with the intent to distribute on May 18 in Paulsboro.
  • Michael W. Graham, 23, of Paulsboro, for two counts of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute on May 18 in Paulsboro.
  • Anthony Johnson Jr., 32, of Paulsboro, for possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a person not entitled to have a weapon and making threats to kill on June 3 in Paulsboro.
  • Ryan G. Schwartz, 21, of Swedesboro, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance on April 26 in East Greenwich.
  • Lawrence Dockery, 57, of Woodbury, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance on July 8 in Woodbury.
  • Clinton E. Powell 4th, 27, of Franklinville, for criminal attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud on June 2 in Logan Township.
  • Leon A. Rone, 39, of Paulsboro, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of less than half an ounce of heroin or cocaine with the intent to distribute on July 10 in Greenwich Township.
  • Christopher M. Kozlowski, 22, of Franklinville, for burglary, theft by unlawful taking and criminal trespass on May 29 in Mantua.
  • Luanne H. Mackerchar, 25, of New Castle, DE, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance on June 30 in East Greenwich.
