Gloucester County Fugitive John Gehman Captured

Gehman was one of the county sheriff's most wanted fugitives.

A man with the dubious honor of being on the Gloucester County sheriff's Most Wanted list lost his place in the the top 10 on Friday.

John R. Gehman, 32, was arrested about 6 a.m. Friday at his apartment on Lehigh Court in Sicklerville, Camden County.

Gehman had been a fugitive since Feb. 21, when he failed to show up for a hearing in state Superior Court in Woobury. A warrant was issued for his arrest on a probation violation. In 2011, Gehman had been placed on probation on a drug charge. He was arrested Friday morning by members of the sheriff's Fugitive Unit and held in the county jail.
