Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Collars Two Wanted Men

A Washington Twp. man accused of cutting checks to himself on his employer's dime and a man police say fled a Florida conviction were both apprehended.

Together with the help of U.S. Marshals and local police, the Fugitive Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office (GCPO) arrested two men wanted on fraud charges and probation violations, respectively.

James Hess, 45, of Washington Township, was charged with writing more than $13,000 in fake checks to himself on behalf of his employer, Family Practice Associates at Washington.

Hess was arrested January 16 at Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, where he was undergoing treatment, according to the GCPO. His bail was set at $25,000.

Arrested in Williamstown on that same day was 33-year-old Ronni Ganley, Jr. of Sicklerville, a man police believe fled a conviction in Florida for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Ganley is being held without bail in the Salem County correctional facility.
