Glouco Sheriff Arrests No. 10 on Most Wanted List

Matthew Brangan, 26, of Grenloch, was arrested in West Deptford earlier this week on a separate matter.

The Grenloch man arrested in connection with $70,000 in stolen goods—including a Babe Ruth-signed baseball—is in more legal hot water.

Matthew Brangan, 26, was on the Gloucester County sheriff’s most wanted list at No. 10. His arrest in West Deptford on Jan. 25 caused him to be jailed on the county’s charges. Brangan was held for failing to appear on Dec. 11, 2012, in front of a Superior Court judge. He was on probation for theft by unlawful taking, according to the Gloucester County sheriff.

West Deptford Police arrested Brangan earlier in the week on suspicion he carried out two burglaries in town. The thefts included prescription drugs, tools, electronics and the baseball signed by Babe Ruth, totaling $70,000. Most of the items were returned.
