Judge Denies Media Access to Proceedings in Autumn Pasquale Case

Several media outlets sought access to juvenile proceedings for the brothers charged in the slaying of 12-year-old Clayton resident Autumn Pasquale.

A state Superior Court judge on Friday denied the media access to juvenile proceedings invovling two teenaged brothers charged with murder in the slaying of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports

Judge Colleen A. Maier issued her decision from the bench at a closed hearing in Woodbury attended by lawyers for several news organizations, according to the Inquirer.

The judge made her ruling before a detention hearing Friday for the brothers. They are being held in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center at Lakeland in Gloucester Township.

Prosecutors alleged the brothers lured the girl into Clayton their home with the promise of parts for her BMX Odyssey bicycle, which she had been riding when she left her West High Street home around 12:30 on Oct. 20, and then strangled her. Prosecutors have not released a motive for the slaying, nor have they identified the brothers because of their ages.

However, they have been widely identified elsewhere as Justin Robinson, 15, and Dante Robinson, 17, both Clayton residents.
