National Park Couple Plead Guilty to Stealing from Patient

Andrew and Brittany Soto pleaded guilty to stealing a total of $1,500 from a man in Brittany Soto's care last year.

A National Park man pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing cash from a senior citizen in the care of Soto’s home health aide wife in 2011, and will likely spend five years in state prison for the theft.

Andrew J. Soto, 25, of Wesley Avenue in National Park, had been charged with stealing $1,000 right out of the pocket of a 69-year-old National Park resident on March 14, 2011, just days after his wife, Brittany Soto, 24, allegedly stole $500 from the same victim.

Brittany Soto pleaded guilty in April to third-degree theft and was sentenced to five years probation and was admitted to Gloucester County’s drug court.
