Two Fugitives on Gloucester County Sheriff's Most Wanted List Nabbed

Nicholas Hopman and Matthew Falciani were both arrested this week.

Gloucester County Sheriff Carmel Morina crossed two more fugitives off his list.

Two men on the sheriff's Most Wanted List—Matthew Falciani of Runnemede and Nicholas Hopkins of Swedesboro—were arrested this week.

Hopkins was No. 1 on the list; Falciani was No. 10.

Falciani, 29, was arrested Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Haddon Heights, where he was staying with a friend and his girlfriend. He was wanted since Jan. 10 for failure to appear in court for sentencing to begin in a 364-day term in the Gloucester County Jail. He was wanted on a violation of probation charge. 

Following his arrest Thursday, Falciani was held without bail in the county jail.

Hopman, 31, was arrested in a joint operation with the Baker County Sheriff’s Department in Florida. He is awaiting a waiver hearing in Florida and extradition to New Jersey.

Hopman had been a fugitive since June 15, 2012, when he failed to appear in court. He was wanted on charges of burglary and violation of probation. 

Gloucester County urges all residents to call Chief Ken Villanova at 856-384-4625, if they can provide any information about any fugitives on the list, especially their whereabouts. All calls are kept confidential. The Sheriff’s Most Wanted List can be found on the Gloucester County website
