Reward Increased, Funeral Set for Victim of Woodbury Gas Station Shooting

Authorities are offering $8,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailants in the Sunday shooting of Woodbury gas station attendant Surinder Singh.

The Woodbury Police Department has contributed another $3,000 to the $5,000 reward offered by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the men responsible for the Sunday murder of 40-year-old Woodbury NJ gas station attendant Surinder Singh.

Authorities believe two people attempted to rob Singh at the Garden State Fuel station on North Broad St. and then fled the scene heading north in a gray sedan.

Singh died about 30 minutes after the incident from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

The gas station at which Singh had worked for more than 10 years is a cleared crime scene, according to the Prosecutor's Office, and will reopen at its owners' discretion.

Friends remembered Singh on Monday with a memorial of flowers, teddy bears and other mementos at the station.
