West Deptford police have received reports of a number of damaged vehicles in the township in the past several weeks.
On September 7, a resident of the 1000 block of Red Bank Avenue reported his car suffered $4,000 of damage after an unknown person poured paint and tar inside of it while it was parked in front of his home.
On September 17, a resident of the Heather Ridge Apartments reported that a light bar valued at $300 had been stolen from the front of his vehicle.
On September 19, an employee of Checkpoint Systems reported that the rear windshield of his car was smashed out while he was at work, incurring some $300 in repairs.
On September 20, a West Deptford High School student discovered the rear window of his car had been smashed out at the end of the school day. The student had parked his vehicle in the midget football field parking lot. The value of that damage is unknown.
On September 25, a Club Champagne patron discovered after leaving the establishment that the tires to his vehicle had been slashed. The damage was estimated to be around $500.
Police have no reason to believe these incidents are at all related to one another, and reported vehicle damages are not uncommon.
