State Police Seek Volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams

Volunteers are sought in Camden, Gloucester and Cumberland counties.

The New Jersey State Police and partnering domestic violence advocacy groups are seeking volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams in multiple counties, including Camden, Gloucester and Cumberland.

Volunteer advocates work in conjunction with police, county prosecutor’s offices, and private organizations to provide support, information, referrals, and a safety plan to victims of domestic violence.

Volunteers must attend a free 40-hour training course, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to background investigations and fingerprinting.  Applications are currently being accepted.
