A man was shot in the chest at the Westwood Apartments in Westville on
Thursday night, leading to a pursuit by Westville police of two suspects
into Camden.

There, officers of the Camden Metro Police Department stopped a
vehicle and arrested two men believed to have been involved in the shooting.

The shooting victim, wounded in the chest, is in critical condition at Cooper
Medical Center, Camden. He was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Buchanan.

Neil Reynolds, 24, of Saunders Street in Camden, and Darnell Cummings, 26,
of Blackwood-Clementon Road in Pine Hill, were charged initially with eluding police.

Reynolds is expected to be charged with attempted murder and Cummings with
complicity to commit attempted murder.

Camden Metro police were able to locate the car in the city after Westville officers provided a description and tag number before ending their pursuit.

The shooting is believed to have been related to a domestic dispute. Cummings and a woman who occupied the apartment were acquainted.
