Hydrant Vandals Strike

West Deptford Police have been busy investigating a series of vandalism incidents in town.

  • The passenger tire of a vehicle was flattened by a sharp object on Jan. 5 while parked in the White Swan Trailer Park. The owner of the vehicle signed a criminal mischief complaint against a 48-year-old male who also lives in the complex.
  • The middle of a mailbox was dented after a juvenile damaged it with his hand on Jan. 6. Another juvenile also threw trash on the front lawn of the same residence, located on Woodbury Terrace. 
  • A fire hydrant was removed from the ground by vandals and then left at the scene on Jan. 8. The fire hydrant was located on Crown Point Road.
  • A Mazda Protégé was recovered, after being stolen from Woodhollow Drive in Forest Creek Apartments on Jan. 9. The vehicle was recovered a short time later on Timberline Drive and sustained no damage.
