Wanted: Ernest Goldsmid

Ernest Goldsmid failed to appear on a third-degree charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Ernest Goldsmid, 36, of West Deptford, is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office for failure to appear in Woodbury Superior Court on July 9 for a pre-arraignment interview on a narcotics charge.

Goldsmid is described as 5-foot-8, 185 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair, a tattoo of a rebel on his left arm and a tattoo of Father Time on his right arm.

On July 10, West Deptford Police were dispatched to a Second Avenue residence for a report of a suspicious man lying on the driveway.

The complainant thought it could be a brother of the resident who was not allowed on the property. The officer found the man sleeping on the driveway and holding onto a hose.

Once awakened, he identified himself as Goldsmid.  The officer determined Goldsmid had two active warrants and arrested him.

Goldsmid was in possession of seven suspected Xanax pills in a cellophane wrapper and a six wax paper folds containing suspected heroin.

Goldsmid was indicted on a charge of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance on June 25.
