UPDATE: Wanted in Gloucester County: Kevin P. Smiley

The 19-year-old Mullica Hill man was arrested for burglary in Harrison Twp. in September, just days after he had been charged in a similar case in West Deptford.

UPDATE - 11 a.m. January 6, 2014: The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office reports that Smiley was apprehended over the weekend.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office is looking for information on the whereabouts of Mullica Hill resident Kevin P. Smiley, 19, for failure to appear in Superior Court on a burglary charge.

Smiley is five-feet, eight-inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was due to be arraigned on December 2 in connection with an incident on September 17 in Harrison Township.

Smiley is alleged to have broken into a home in the 200 block of Strawbridge Lane in that township and removed jewelry from an upstairs bedroom. He was jailed on a third-degree burglary charge the following day and was indicted on November 6.

Smiley was arrested in West Deptford around the same time in connection with a $5,835 jewelry theft on Budd Boulevard

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office advises that anyone with information on Smiley's whereabouts should not attempt to apprehend him. Instead, call GCPO Lt. Barry Johnson at (856) 498-5485, or text anonymously: GLOTIP and your message to CRIMES (274637).
