West Deptford Committee Honors Lifesavers

The committee recently recognized four who helped save lives in the last year.

Justin Jefferson and Derrick Kearny didn't hesitate when they found their neighbor, Brittany Hickman, collapsed on the sidewalk outside her home, .

They, along with Investigator Richard Henry, rushed to Hickman's aid before ambulances arrived, and helped keep her steady until she could be rushed to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where she was eventually able to recover from her grave injuries.

“We had a woman who was dying on the sidewalk, and if it wasn't for these three individuals...she probably would've died,” West Deptford police Chief Craig Mangano said. “All three of these fine gentlemen helped in saving someone's life.”
