West Deptford Crimelog: Drug Arrests, Lewdness, Outstanding Warrants

Plus: a juvenile was allegedly trespassing on the roof of the Oakview Elementary School.

West Deptford police reported the following arrests in the township during the past week.

  • On April 25, police arrested 27-year-old Sarah E. Kittredge of West Deptford for being under the influence of a controlled, dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • On April 27, 19-year-old Edward N. McCray of Edgewater Park was arrested for filing a false police report, hindering his own apprehension, and other outstanding warrants. Unable to post 10 percent of his $5,000 bail obligation, McCray was lodged in the Gloucester County correctional facility.
  • On April 27, 50-year-old Theresa L. Paladino of Salem was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in public. She was issued a summons and released to a family member pending court action.
  • Also on April 27, 43-year-old Dominick Mattia of West Deptford was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe following a medical emergency call at his residence.
  • On April 28, 35-year-old Jaheen R. Laws of Camden City was charged with possession of marijuana after he was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Camden City. Laws was issued a summons and released pending court.
  • On April 29, 23-year-old Olga Y. Mercado of Penns Grove was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop. She was issued summonses and released pending court.
  • Also on April 29, a juvenile from West Deptford was arrested for trespassing after he was found on the roof of the Oakview Elementary School.
  • On April 30, 25-year-old Alex Alverio of Millville was arrested at the Division of Motor Vehicles on Crown Point Road for providing a fraudulent document. Alverios was issued a summons and released pending court.
  • Also on April 30, 24-year-old Jennifer G. Donnelly of Philadelphia was arrested for possession of marijuana and 21-year-old Samantha D. Kube of Woodbury was arrested for possession of CDS paraphernalia after a traffic stop. Both were issued summonses and released pending court.
  • Also on April 30, 31-year-old Joseph H. Dever, Jr. of West Deptford was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after a suspicious person’s pedestrian stop was conducted. He was issued a summons and released pending court.
  • On May 1, 21-year-old Michael L. McGovern of Deptford was arrested for lewdness. He was issued a summons and released pending court.
  • That same day, 19-year-old Vincent L. Ferrara of West Deptford was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after a pedestrian stop.
