West Deptford Man Arrested on Drug, Weapons Charges

Brian J. Diemunsch faces multiple charges in Ocean County.

A West Deptford man who had drugs and a machete in his Mercedes was arrested in Ocean County after being stopped by a Manchester Township officer early Saturday morning, Manchester Township Police said.

Officer Joseph Fastige spotted the machete wedged in between the driver’s seat and the car door after pulling over Brian J. Diemunsch, 37, near the intersection of Route 70 and Route 539, police said, leading Fastige to request to search the car.

After Diemunsch OK’d the search, Fastige seized the 18-inch machete, as well as a dirk—a type of long dagger—and also found 11 bags of heroin and crack cocaine, police said.
