West Deptford Man Charged in 2013 Home Invasion Robbery

Maquan M. Wright, 22, is accused of entering a home with a handgun, beating and tying up the resident and stealing property worth at least $1,000.

A West Deptford man has been charged with a home invasion robbery in West Deptford, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Wednesday.

Maquan M. Wright, 22, was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, theft, criminal restraint, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose following a home invasion robbery on June 5, 2013.

An investigation by detectives of the West Deptford Police Department resulted in the charges.

Wright is accused of entering a home with a handgun, beating and tying up the resident and stealing property worth at least $1,000 from the victim. He is also accused of conspiring to commit these acts with another. 

Wright was taken into custody at his residence by the Fugitive Investigation Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the West Deptford Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force Tuesday morning.

He is being held in jail in default of $250,000 bail.
