West Deptford Man Charged With Separate Burglaries on Pelham Drive

John D. Wiltsee, 28, was also charged with narcotics possession out of Deptford.

A West Deptford man has been charged in connection with a pair of burglaries on Pelham Drive, West Deptford Police announced Thursday afternoon.

John D. Wiltsee, 28, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and criminal mischief in connection with burglaries at two separate residences on Pelham Drive.

Additionally, he was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of Adderall, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia out of Deptford Township.

A resident of Pelham Drive reported an alleged burglary at their home on May 22 in which entry to their home was gained by breaking a window to an exterior garage door and prying open another door that lead to the interior of the residence. A large amount of jewelry and personal items were missing.

Following a conversation between the victim and a neighbor the same day, a second burglary was reported. Jewelry was missing from this house, as well, and the second victim surmised the burglary must have occurred between May 17 and May 22.

On May 23, West Deptford Police targeted Wiltsee as a person of interest. Through an active investigation, they were able to recover numerous pieces of jewelry that belonged to one of the victims.

Based on this information, police developed search warrants for Wiltsee's vehicle and home.

At around 4 p.m. on May 23, members of the West Deptford Detective Bureau conducted a motor vehicle stop on Wiltsee at his place of employment in Voorhees, at which point the search warrant on his vehicle was executed.

Police subsequently found additional stolen property from both residences on Pelham Drive along with an amount of heroin, crack cocaine, Adderall and marijuana.

Wiltsee was arrested and transported to the West Deptford Police Department for processing.

West Deptford Detectives then proceeded to Wiltsee’s residence and executed the search warrant, where several other stolen items were recovered.
