West Deptford Police Crack 2012 Heritage's Robbery

18-year-old Branden M. Potter and three juveniles, all from Woodbury, were charged in the incident.

A group of teenagers who allegedly used an Airsoft gun to rob the Delaware Street Heritage's store last summer were tracked down last week and arrested by West Deptford police. 

Three juveniles aged 15, 16, and 17, and one adult, Branden M. Potter, 18, all of Woodbury, were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The 15-year-old was additionally charged with possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, theft, and with making terroristic threats. The weapon—determined to be a replica pellet gun—was not recovered.

Two of the juveniles were placed in the Lakeland juvenile detention facility; one was put on home detention. Potter’s bail was set at $50,000 and posted through bail bonds. He was released pending grand jury action.

The robbery occured before 10 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2012. Employees said a tall, white male wearing a black ski mask entered the store and brandished a black handgun; police say this was the 15-year-old juvenile.

Police say he demanded all the money from the register (as well as cigarettes) and fled on foot in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of currency.

The case broke when West Deptford Investigator Jeffrey Pallies received information from a police department that was investigating a separate incident related to the robbery.
