West Deptford Police Crime Log

• On 06.28.2014, Joseph T. Dougherty (18yoa) of West Deptford was arrested for possession of marijuana and outstanding warrants.  He was issued summonses and released pending court. 

• On 07.01.2014, Roy W. Hawks Jr. (46yoa) of West Deptford, NJ was charged with failure to register under the provisions of Megan’s Law.  He was charged on a warrant and bail was set at $10,000 10%.  He posted bail and was released pending court. 

• On 07.03.2014, Dana M. Scomolla (26yoa) of Westville, NJ was arrested for outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  She was issued summonses and released pending court. 

• On 07.04.2014, Lorenzo McLeod (23yoa) of Lawnside, NJ was arrested for obstruction of justice after he fled from police for an alcohol violation.  He was issued summonses and released pending court. 

• On 07.06.2014, Kasim R. Jeffery (35yoa) of West Deptford, NJ was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of alcohol in a means of conveyance.  He was issued summonses and released pending court. 

• On 07.07.2014, Robert B. Hemphill (25yoa) of Paulsboro, NJ was arrested for possession of heroin, outstanding warrants and failure to surrender a controlled dangerous substance to law enforcement.  He was issued summonses for the narcotics related offenses and lodged in the Salem County Jail in lieu of bail on the warrants.  

Other Incidents:

• On 07.01.2014, a resident of the 1200 block of Taft Avenue reported that an unknown actor (s) burglarized their residence and stole an unknown amount of jewelry.  Entry was gained through a first floor window. 

• On 07.07.2014, a patron at the Wawa on Crown Point Road reported that while he was in the store an unknown actor(s) stole prescription medication from the interior of his vehicle.  Estimated amount of theft is approximately $150.00.
• On 07.09.2014, a resident from Pennfield Drive reported that an unknown actor(s) stole a bicycle (valued at $150.00) from their residence. 

• On 07.10.2014, a member of the Riverwind’s Community Center advised that their IPhone (valued at $500.00) cellular telephone was stolen from the gym area.
