West Deptford Police: Thieves Hit Eight Unlocked Cars

The following information was provided by the West Deptford police department.

Thieves hit eight unlocked cars in seven different burglaries over the past week and a half, West Deptford police said Friday.

The first came at the bulldog lot at West Deptford High School on April 26, where thieves stole a specialized BMX bike from the trunk and an iPod touch and a TomTom GPS unit from the center console.

That was followed by a three car burglaries on April 29—one on G Street and another two on Frances Avenue. Thieves stole a wallet with a driver’s license and a social security card from the car on G Street, as well as around $5 in loose change.

The two cars on Frances Avenue were parked in driveways at two different homes. One had an iPhone car charger and an iPhone cable stolen, and the other had a GPS unit, a Bluetooth headset and some loose change stolen.

A day later, another two cars were hit. A car parked in the driveway of a home on Dubois Avenue had a wallet with ID cards stolen, while thieves stole a Canon camera, a Garmin GPS unit and a Cobra radar detector from a car at the Red Bank Run apartment complex.

The final two burglaries came on May 1, when thieves stole a TomTom GPS unit and a Sprint Nexus cell phone from a car parked on Timberline Drive, and stole a Garmin GPS unit, an iPod Nano and two Sirius satellite radios from another car parked on Woodhollow Drive.
