Westville Man Arrested for Knifepoint Robbery of Woodbury Gas Station Worker

Authorities are holding Eric D. Harvey on $50,000 bail after his alleged knifepoint robbery of a gas station attendant. Harvey was captured in Paulsboro on Tuesday.

A Westville man whom police believe robbed a Woodbury gas station attendant at knifepoint has been arrested by the Fugitive Investigation Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

Thirty-six-year-old Eric D. Harvey was taken into custody at his girlfriend's Paulsboro home Tuesday evening, according to a statement from the prosecutor's office.

Harvey is alleged to have confronted the victim on Lincoln Street Friday while the man was on his way home from work.

Authorities say the man surrendered an unspecified amount of cash, and was unharmed in the incident.

Harvey was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and theft. He is being held in default of $50,000 bail.
