Williamstown Man Wanted by Prosecutor's Office

A Williamstown man charged with a cocaine offense in West Deptford is wanted after he didn’t appear in court on the charge.

Jose R. Santiago, 34, was due to appear in Superior Court on July 10 for a pre-arraignment interview, but didn’t show, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Santiago is now sought as a fugitive.

Santiago is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his right hand. His last known address was on the 1600 block of Mills Lane, Williamstown.

A West Deptford police officer and members of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force stopped Santiago’s car on June 12, 2011, in connection with a drug investigation. Santiago reportedly was carrying cocaine.

He was indicted on June 26 of this year for third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
