One of Gloucester County's most colorful but controversial residents, a busking street performer known as "the Woodbury dancing man," has been arrested on harassment charges after allegedly propositioning a woman, licking her face, and following her to her car.

On November 4, James Robinson, 65, of West Deptford, allegedly approached a woman inside the Mantua Avenue Dunkin' Donuts and "said several things of a sexual nature to her that made her feel uncomfortable," said Woodbury Detective Sergeant Thomas Ryan.

"He actually attempted to touch her and licked her face," Ryan said. "She told him several times that she wasn’t interested, but then [Robinson] followed her out to her vehicle."

The victim was able to drive away, Ryan said, and she immediately reported the incident to police.

The incident was turned over to Woodbury Detective Kelli Marro, who signed complaints against Robinson for lewdness and harassment charges.

Robinson was arrested on November 7 and was transported to the Burlington County jail on default of $2,500 full-cash bail, where he was eventually released.

He was and still is banned from the Woodbury acme because of the disgusting and lewd comments he would make to the female customers...often times following them out to their cars like this instance. He is a creep and a sexual pervert and I've known it for years, even when the Gloucester county times tried making him out to be some harmless guy who wants to dance on street corners. He should still be in jail because his sexual harassment is just going to continue, I guarantee it.

Has there been any updates about this case? What is going on w/ this man now? Is he still behind bars? I agree that this man needs to be off our streets. If he did to this woman what has been allegedly done then he's a danger to our communities. However him being in jail is not where he really needs to be @ this time. Jail is not going to help. Or help him. He needs to be evaluated ASAP. Then he needs to get the proper help for his issues/problems.
