Gov. Chris Christie's 110th town hall is slated for Thursday at the Middletown VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth.
The event marks Christie's first town hall appearance since the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal unraveled in January. The session had to be rescheduled twice due to the series of snow storms that have blanketed the state.
Christie and members of his administration will discuss the distribution of federal Superstorm Sandy funding. Following the town hall session, a Christie Administration Mobile Cabinet will remain on site to meet with affected residents and answer Sandy-related questions regarding housing and business assistance programs.
Doors open at 10 a.m., with the event starting at 12:30 p.m. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and open to the public. No bags are permitted in the venue. Residents may RSVP for the session at TownHall.Middletown@gov.state.nj.us.
