Favorites All Win in Presidential, House, Senate 2012 Primary Races

There were no surprises in the primary.

The big names all won in the three federal races on this year's primary ballot, from the county up to the state.

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez, who was unopposed on the Democratic side, will face current Republican state Sen. Joe Kyrillos in November. Kyrillos won 75.84 percent of the 6,970 votes cast in Gloucester County, mirroring his statewide performance, where he took 77 percent in a four-way race.

In the House of Representatives race, Republican challenger Greg Horton, who was unopposed in his primary, will face incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews, who easily fended off a primary challenger. Horton took all but 14 of the 4,548 votes cast in Gloucester County in his race, while Andrews took 88.94 percent of the 6,628 votes cast in the county.
