Gloucester County Officials Ask Residents to Report Storm Damage

Residents can reach out to the Office of Emergency Response to file a report.

Gloucester County officials are urging residents who suffered flood damage from this past weekend’s storm to contact the county Office of Emergency Response to report their losses.

“Gloucester County collects the information from a variety of sources and reports the damages for submission to the state Office of Emergency Management, then on to FEMA for a possible disaster declaration,” said Freeholder Director Robert Damminger.  “Providing this information is the only way we can begin to obtain a disaster declaration and federal assistance for our residents.”

Residents can contact the Office of Emergency Response at 856-307-71000, and leave their name, address, contact information and should describe what damage they incurred from the storm.

Freeholder Joe Chila said that, while Gloucester County didn’t suffer the kind of severe damage seen in Salem and Cumberland counties, county officials are concerned about individuals who may have been hard-hit by the storm.

“If your home received damage due to the rain of the previous weekend you should get in touch with the county offices to leave them your information,” Chila said.
