Want to lower your car insurance costs?
Thanks to a defensive driving course offered by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, county residents with a driver's license can shave 5 percent and 2 points (once every five years) at a pair of six-hour classes.
One class will meet on two nights, Sept. 18 and 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 442 of the Gloucester County College Instructional Center in Deptford Twp. (Enrollees must attend both nights to complete the course.)
The second class will be offered for six hours on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the GCC IC Room 442.
Both will be taught by Det. Nick Schock, motor vehicle crash investigator for the Prosecutor’s Office.
Classes cost $10 (payable day-of) and will be limited to 30 students.
“During these times of stretched family budgets, we are happy to provide this opportunity for residents to lower their insurance costs while learning how to make our roadways safer,” said Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean, F. Dalton in a statement accompanying the announcement of the classes.
