Prosecutors Association Offers 4 Scholarships for NJ Residents

Four $2,500 annual scholarships will be awarded in memory of former New Jersey prosecutors.

Need a little extra money for law or graduate school? The County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey may have a way to help.

Four scholarships will be offered for the upcoming school year—all of which will provide a student with $2,500 for college, law or graduate school.

All the scholarships are in memory of former New Jersey county prosecutors and are offered for students in fields ranging from law to child advocacy. All applicants must be New Jersey residents and demonstrate financial need.

Please refer to the list below for scholarship and applicant criteria:

Harris Y. Cotton Memorial Scholarship: the applicant must be pursuing a career as a prosecutor and is intending to specialize in hate crimes or domestic violence cases.

Oscar W. Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship: the applicant must be pursuing a career as a prosecutor. 

Andrew K. Retool Memorial Scholarship: the applicant must be pursuing a career involving child advocacy.

John. H. Stamler Memorial Scholarship: the applicant must be a sworn law enforcement officer seeking educational advancement at a college or graduate level.    

All applications must be postmarked by Sept. 15 for consideration. Scholarship applications can be found online or on the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Facebook page
