WD MVC Reopens After Closing for Storm

While the effects of Hurricane Sandy forced many businesses and government buildings to close down earlier in the week, some New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) buildings will reopen as of today.  The New Jersey governor’s office has announced the openings today, of which includes the West Deptford MVC. 

Inspections stations, such as those in Deptford, Cherry Hill and Winslow, will also reopen today.

An administrative order authorized by the MVC Chairman and Chief Administrator Raymond Martinez granted a 30 day extension to all driver’s license, vehicle registrations and inspections that expired the end of October. 

In addition, the MVC will reschedule any driver’s tests, driver conferences, and specialty vehicle inspections scheduled from Nov. 1 through Nov. 3 at a later date—all of which, have been canceled by the MVC.

Other agencies that have reopened in New Jersey are Bakers Basin, Manahawkin, Mt. Holly, Rio Grande, Trenton and Vineland. Additionally, inspections stations open in New Jersey, also include Bakers Basin, Cape May, Eatontown, Kilmer, Lakewood, Lodi, Manahawkin, Mays Landing, Millville, Newark, Newton, Plainfield, Randolph, Salem, Secaucus, South Hampton and Wayne.
