Willow Woods Rent Appeal Postponed

The appeal will now be heard by the township committee on March 1.

A rent control hearing on an appeal of a rejected rent increase at Willow Woods has been postponed again, West Deptford officials said Friday.

The hearing had been set for Saturday morning, but has now been pushed back to next month.

And with the rent control board not formed yet, the matter will go before the , who will hear the appeal as part of their March 1 regular meeting.

California-based Carlyle Group, which owns the mobile home park, has been angling for an appeal of the increase since it was rejected last August. for many residents in the park.

Christopher Hanlon, the company's attorney, argued at the original hearing that much of the increase was due to increased taxes and other fees.
