Boys' Basketball Earns Home Playoff Game
West Deptford will be a No. 6 seed in the Group 2 playoffs.
From the start of the season the West Deptford High School boys' basketball team made it a goal to not only qualify for the postseason—as it did last year—but also to earn a home game.
The NJSIAA released the boys' basketball playoff brackets Friday, revealing that the Eagles had achieved their goal.
West Deptford is a No. 6 seed in South Jersey Group 2 and will host Colonial Conference foe Overbrook. The game is tentatively slated for Feb. 25.

West Deptford got the better of Overbrook twice this season, but had to work for each victory. Justin Hansen had a career-best 30 points against Overbook in the first game of the season, lifting the Eagles to a 70-68 win. West Deptford fell behind by 12 points in the first quarter in the second meeting, but stormed back to record a 64-59 win.
If West Deptford makes it three-for-three it will advance to the quarterfinals an take on the winner of No. 3 Medford Township/No. 14 Manchester Township.
