Eight West Deptford Wrestlers Advance to District 29 Semifinals
It was a good night for most of the Eagles, but six wrestlers saw their season come to an end.
The District 29 Wrestling Tournament got underway Friday night at Gloucester County College, and as expected, the majority of West Deptford's wrestlers advanced to Saturday’s action.
All season long, the lightweights have been a strength for the Eagles, and that continued Friday as West Deptford got wins from its five lowest weight classes.
In total, eight Eagles advanced to Saturday's action, where they will compete to be one of the top three finishers in their respective weight class and earn a trip to the Region 8 tournament. On the down side, six Eagles saw their season come to an end.
