Five Things You Need To Know This Week

Board of Education moves its meeting, and it's the last week of a fundraiser at the high school.

1. This week’s Board of Education meeting is Tuesday night, instead of the normal Monday night meeting. The day’s the only thing that’s changed–it’s still at 7 p.m. in the middle school library.

2. Presidents Weekend is coming up, which means township offices are closed this Friday and next Monday, and schools are closed next Monday.

3. Along with that, residents who normally have their trash picked up on Friday will have it collected this Wednesday, and residents who normally have their trash picked up on Monday will have it collected next Wednesday.

4. This is the final week for Pennies for Patients at West Deptford High School, a spare change and donations drive that supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s efforts in cancer research and patient services. Donations can also be made online at nj.sy.llsevent.org/

5. Gloucester County College students can apply for an instant decision on transfer to a number of four-year schools, including Rowan University, Wilmington University, The Richard Stockton College, Temple University, Drexel University and Rutgers University, among others, at the college’s annual transfer day on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
