GCC GED Online Prep Orientation Starts Friday

The hybrid course allows students to combine class time with online preparation for the state GED test.

Orientation sessions start Friday for Gloucester County College’s GED Hybrid Online Class, which aims to help county residents prepare for the state GED test.

The sessions, which are also scheduled for Sept. 9 and Oct. 14, start at 9 a.m. in the Continuing Education Center located at 1492 Tanyard Road in Sewell.

Prospective students interested in registering for the online prep class will have to take a basic skills assessment test, which can run up to four hours long, and pay a $10 nonrefundable registration fee via a credit or debit card, check or money order. No cash will be accepted.

The hybrid online program, which is being made available in partnership with the Gloucester County One Stop Career Center, Workforce Investment Board, and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, allows students to spend just one day a week in the classroom reviewing material with a course instructor, while otherwise preparing for the state GED test from the comfort of their homes.
