Girls Basketball Sneaks in Playoffs as No. 16 Seed
West Deptford will take on No. 1 Willingboro in the first round of the Group 2 playoffs.
It’s is not under the ideal set of circumstances by any stretch of the imagination, but the West Deptford High School girls’ basketball team will compete in the playoffs.
Now all the Eagles have to do find away to knock off the best team in Group 2.
The NJSIAA released the girls’ playoff brackets today and West Deptford snagged the No. 16 seed in South Jersey Group 2. The Eagles will hit the road to take on No. 1 Willingboro. There is no official date for the game yet, but all first-round games must be completed by Feb. 25.

The Willingboro Chimeras reached the Group 2 semifinals last season and have compiled a 15-2 mark this year. They will be a clear favorite over a West Deptford team that has managed just three wins in a rebuilding year.
The winner of the first-round matchup will take on the victor of No. 8 Lower Cape may/No. 9 Deptford.

Middle Township is the No. 2 seed and Cinnaminson is the No. 3 seed. Other local teams that qualified include Collingswood (No. 6) and Haddonfield (No. 10).
