Gov. Christie Tells Rowan Graduates Hard Work is Vital to Success

He said their degrees provide a path to success, but don't guarantee it.

Gov. Chris Christie told graduates of Rowan University hard work is more vital to their future success than their degrees at the school’s Commencement Ceremony on Friday, the Courier Post reports.

Christie told the new graduates their degrees provide the avenue, but are no guarantee of success, according to the report.

He relayed the lesson he learned from his maternal grandmother, his inspiration who was born on a boat while her family moved from Italy to America.

He spoke at the Commencement Ceremony days after telling CBS’s Bob Schaeffer he may run for president in 2016.
